Volcanic Landscapes

Much of my life has been spent living on tectonic faultlines. The most spectacular being the African 'Rift Valley' depicted in the 'Crater of Life' painting. The drama of New Zealand's volcanic terrain provides a rich source of beauty for the landscape artist. Rivers forced to change their direction of flow, acidic colours and steam rising from the ground and the ever present snow-capped volcanoes.
